Hi everyone

Had another good outdoor nationals, was nice to see everyone again. Unfortunately it was final Outdoor nationals and so it was a reminder of how old i am now, at that i suppose will have to start shooting against the seniors. However i did not come home empty handed from the nationals as again I reclaimed my title as national outdoor champion for a second year running. This has pleased me greatly as i feel i shot very well in the conditions, and i am now looking forward to the next big competition.

Hi all

Had a great time at the nationals last weekend, it was nice to see everyone again despite the weather playing up n making it feel like it took forever to finsh the rounds.

On the saturday i shot the gents fita. I didnt shoot my best as i only managed a 1259 however the weather wasnt helping! and as a result came third :(

On the sunday i felt as though i shot alot better even though the score in which i ended up on was not that great as it was only 1210 for a york, when m PB is 1240 so i think that if the weather had been on my side then i could have beaten my PB. However my score of 1210 was enough to win and i was over joyed in winning, as it takes the preasure off of next year as it would have been my last year to get my name on the Junior Nationals Champs Trophy

Had a great time in italy a few weeks back for the european indoor championships. The weather was very good as i was able to wear my very lairy shorts for the first to days we were there as it was so hot!! The shooting could have gone better but i was very nervious and i hadnt eaten properly for days as the food was not that great, mostly pasta. However i was pleased with how i shot as the score that i finished with was just below average of what i normally shoot so i was pleased. I was not too pissed about the head to heads with the fact that i got knocked out as the guy who knocked me out got to the finals, soooo i feel it wasnt that bad after all. At least i wasnt knocked out by some person who had a flash in the pan!! Anyway i was glad to go back home and have some english food. The first thing i had was a bacon sarny which was fantastic lol.

Hi all

Today i went to shoot at Kestrels in a single and double worcester. Today my goal was to gain the national record for the single and double worcester. Unfortunately the single was already taken with a maximum of 300. whereas the double i had four points to level or three to beat it. the first round went without a hitch and i scored a maximum of 300 so i still had three points to fall back on if i needed them. In the 2nd session i was rather nervous and i had scored 295 going into the last end of five arrows. My heart was pounding in my chest but skillfully i held my nerve and shot another perfect to claim the new national record at 600 points for the double. You too can now equal my score!!!!

Hi all

Couple of weeks ago i went to lilleshall for a selection shoot for the indoor european championships. During the qualifying round i shot very well a 568 to be exact. This score put me in first for the head to heads. althought i shot well in the qualifyers, i shot apsolute shite and only won 3 of the 6 matches that i had. I wasnt very happy with myself afterwards. However i was still lucky enough to gain a place once again in the GB team.

Can't wait for Italy, and hopefully i will shoot well to come home with a medal.

Hi all

Couple of weekends ago i shot in the second session on sunday of the Junior indoor Chapionships. My indoor shooting so far has been going very well at the moment and i have been shooting some good scores.

At the Indoor Champs i had some tough competition from Tapani Kalmaru, and Matt rudge in the under 18 class. During the comp i was not that confident as i did not have a great start. It was only until the the last dozen that i realized that I was still in with a chance. Tap had posted a 584, and Matt had shot a 580. Both tough scores to beat. I had worked out that i needed a 119 dozen to beat taps score or a 120 to win 20 pounds off of my dad. I was on 90 after three ends and it was down to the last end. Unfortunetly I shot 10 10 9 so i didnt manage to wint he 20 pounds off of my dad. But I managed to beat Tap by the skin of my teeth, there was only one point in it at the end. I was very pleased to win. When they called my name a second time at the medal giving, it took me a while to realise what was going on. To be given the title of Champion was a great feeling and my dad was very proud. Hopefuly next year i will shoot just as well.

Hi my name is Matthew and I am 15 years old and live in Bishops Stortford in Hertfordshire.

I have been shooting compound for just over 2 years. My first bow from Graham was a Nova PSE. I really enjoyed shooting with this bow and reluctantly had to give it up as I outgrew it.
My current bow is a Hoyt Ultratec with XT200 limbs. I use a Shibuya Sight with a Beiter scope and a Evloution + release aid. Indoors I use 2314 Cobalt with lovely Yellow Turkey Feathers. Outdoors I use X10 with Tungstan Piles, yellow flechings and yellow pin nocks.

Last year I was fortunate enough to get selected to shoot in the Europa Cup and had to great trips to Germany and Prague.

I have just come back from the World Indoor Champs in Turkey. Again no silverware but still had a fantastic time.

I was also lucky enough to be selected for both legs of the Europa Junior Cup and the European Junior Outdoor champs. So I have had three great trips to Cyprus, Potugal and the Ukraine. No individual medals but at the European in Portugal and the 2nd Europa Cup in Ukraine we won Team silvers in the Cadet Compound event.
