A superb competition on Sunday with St D's, Charlie's Archers and Thorpe Hamlet Juniors. We saw some excellent shooting and a well-deserved result for Thorpe Hamlet and Charlie's.
We'll just have to wait til May for the re-match, bring it on!!!! Next years indoor shoot will be Sunday 21 November 2010.
An enjoyable weekend, did anyone take any photos? It was good to see familiar and new faces, and lovely to meet Mckenzie Carr for the first time, even if my spotter did get very broody!
(the children on target 1 were very childish, are they allowed out on their own?)

Since my last blog entry I've been to 2 National championships and a had a week at St Dunstans doing archery.
I'm still the national champ for my B2 category in compound - indoors and outdoors.
Shoots this year?

Contemplating Nottingham again as Sherwood Archers were fantastic, so welcoming.
Long Mynd, maybe?
Norwich, of course, got to get that cup back!
Plus the usual St Dunstans and British Blind Sport events.
What's next?

17 to 24 January 2009 is the St. Dunstans indoor archery week, a week of coaching, competition, fun, frolicks, the odd practical joke and a spot of ten pin bowling.
Genesis bow

A few people were doubtful when I returned to a Genesis compound, and some were concerned that it wouldn't work for me after its predecessors, Merlin and Hoyt.
They were great bows but due to medical issues they simply wore me out. So nice Mr Clickers got me the Genesis.
Well, when my spotter went chasing up the field after a miss during yesterday's Frostbite, she was almost up to the 100 yd marker - how's that for a baby bow?!
Frostbite - January 2009
Date: 05/01/2009 14:10
So the first Frostbite of the year saw a completely frozen field - I couldn't bang in the pegs that hold down my footmarkers. My spotter had to draw round them with the charcoal out of her handwarmer and put a foot on the end of the markers each time I stepped into them. She did comment that the frozen ground stopped the few misses burying themselves in the field.
A small sprinkling of snow - not enough for a snowman, rats!
Anyway, a score of 194 which I'm quite pleased about.
Next stop is Portsmouth - well, the round, as it's that week again at my club.
Happy New Year

A very happy 2009 to everyone and especially fellow archers.
Congratulations to Tom!

Well done, and well deserved - 2009 will be your year.
